A Trip to Tahoe

Wow...this seems like a long time ago now, but it was just a little over two months ago that Jeff and I were able to get away for a few days to Lake Tahoe.  Grandad and Grandma Mary stayed with the little one while we were able to have a vacation with just the two of us in this gorgeous area of our country.

This was our drive from the Reno airport...

 It's just so beautifully blue!

A super spicy hot martini from a sushi place...
On our way to Amador County wine country..  We went to 4 small wineries and one craft brewery - really, really awesome time!

 The wineries!

We didn't have the best seat, but this was a restaurant on a pier overlooking the beautiful lake.

We had to try out a super vegan / California-style place for lunch.  Lots of veggies in one sandwich, but really good!
A pic from back home at Potter's Bridge with Grandma Mary...
Drinking of our wines that we bought in Amador County at a Tahoe restaurant...
Another pic from back home...Grandad and Grandma Mary had to see Flowing Creek Park as well.
Ah...Jeff was in heaven as there was sports betting...
We aren't much for slots, but this one was a Pawn Stars one.  We didn't win a dime!

We didn't get to eat here, but  - of course - I had to take a pic!
This area was called Emerald Bay. - and, as you can see, was just breathtaking...

Our first helicopter ride..not scary at all and very cool to see the lake and mountains from the sky!

This guy was too hilarious to not take a pic...looks like a true Californian hippy...

We weren't there during ski season, but took a quick drive up to the main ski area and noticed that at the bottom of the hill was a daycare!  I guess the ski instructors need to have a school for their children - ha!
This restaurant was a super small old house, but very quaint and romantic.
We checked out this FoodNetwork fave on our way back to the Reno airport...

And not pictured here is our zip lining trip as it's a little hard to take pics while going through an obstacle course and running into (literally running into) trees.  I have to admit that was not my favorite part of the trip.

Our way home, we got this pic of our beautiful girl!  We couldn't wait to get back to this sweetness!

Thank you to Grandad and Grandma Mary for taking the time to stay with our Myra!
