All over the place!

This little girl is all over our house! I love to watch her explore and discover new areas.

Just a close-up of that sweet face - trying to grab the camera:

She LOVES the staircase.

Pulls herself right up on the kitchen table leg:

Look at the cheese face - helping mommy unload the dishwasher:

Trying to pull herself up on top of the kitchen table:

Pulling on kitchen blinds is fun too!

The car seat is interesting!

Caught her sticking that tongue out, which she loves to do these days!

If only...

Myra could change the litter box right now!

Doesn't she look like she's ready to open the litter and do some chores??!!

Our First Vacation Without Our Little Girl

Our trip started on a Tuesday evening. Grammy came during the day to watch our sweet Myra and we were off to Nashville - and made it there in time for dinner at Cafe Rakka. Jeff and I try to eat at as many Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives as possible - and this one did not disappoint! We had the BEST hummus ever!!

We stayed in the southern suburb of Brentwood. Here's a view of our hotel. I always forget how hilly it is there.

On Wednesday morning, Jeff had an insurance meeting to attend, so I got to sleep in. Look how rested and excited I am to be going to a winery!

We stopped by Arrington Vineyards, which is part owned by Kix Brooks. Great view - and pretty decent wines.

Wednesday evening was dinner at the Vanderbilt country club courtesy of Jeff's insurance job! I don't have any pics of that, but it was pretty fun night.

Thursday morning was a golf outing for Jeff - and more sleeping in for me! Thursday afternoon was another eatery from Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives - Savarino's Cucina. Excellent, excellent food!!

Thursday afternoon was a nap before dining at one of our Nashville favorites - Flyte. We have gone there every time we visit - so 3 times thus far - Yummo!

We woke up early Friday morning to get on the road to see our Mymy. Before leaving Nashville, we had breakfast at this little place by our hotel, called Perch. It was awesome!!! We had breakfast crepes and the best of all was shrimp & gouda grits! It doesn't sound that appetizing for breakfast, but they were the best grits of all time!

A huge thanks to Grammy as well as Dad and Jay for taking such great care of Myra and house stuff!

A BIG Thank You to Grammy!

Jeff and I took our first vacation sans Myra this past week to Nashville, TN. It was a bit hard to say goodbye, but we knew she would be in the great hands with Grammy.

Of course - they had a great time together! They enjoyed walks, many story times, shopping (Myra helped pick out a few new summer duds for herself), and - most importantly - Grammy introduced Myra to guacamole. She LOVES it! She eats right off the chip! We experienced this ourselves when we went to our favorite Mexican restaurant, Cancun, on Saturday evening. I had no doubt this little one should love mexican since I ate it probably 2-3 times/ week when I was pregnant!

Here are some cute pics of Grammy and Mymy after our return:

Happy Father's Day!

We celebrated Jeff's first Father's Day with presents in the morning, then off to breakfast at Uptown Cafe with Grammy. The afternoon was filled with playing and off to see Grampa Dave and Jay at their new place - and then a very excellent dinner at Cooper's Hawk. Yes - we took Myra out to a somewhat fancy restaurant. I was scared at first, but there were tons of kids there - probably b/c it was Father's Day.

Myra helping daddy with his gift:

I framed Jeff's shirt and medal from the mini-marathon this year since it was quite an accomplishment to run/walk 13 miles!

Helping to open Grammy's gift to daddy:

Another St. Louis Cardinals book that Jeff can read to Mymy!

These were taken last weekend with Grampa and Myra - so sweet! I am not sure how she was sleeping so soundly in the bright sun!

Happy First Father's Day to Jeff - and then a special Happy Father's Day to my Dad - and to Grandad Jim too!!

The Final Stop - Grandad Jim & Grandma Mary's House

Our 5th and final stop was back through St. Louis at Grandad Jim and Grandma Mary's house. Each house along the way had new toys for Myra - and this one did not disappoint!

She LOVED all of the toys and - of course - the company as well.

We thank all of our parents and siblings for a family-filled and fun vacation!

Fun with Twin Cousins

Our 4th leg of the trip was onto Lincoln, NE to visit cousins, Abram & Aisley, as well as Aunt Shannon and Uncle Chris.

Grandma - aka Ga Scrho - joined in the fun as well.

Myra had soooo much fun playing with all of their toys and they were very sweet in playing with her - most of the time - and letting her chew on their toys!

As you can see, there was fun all around!
