Visit from Mom

About once a year, my mom comes to visit from Nebraska. I always try to think of fun and exciting things to do while she is here - and this visit was no exception.

The trip didn't get off to the best start with some jet lag - and lost luggage.

But after the first day, we were enjoying ourselves at the Noblesville Ruby Pear Tea House - see the cute pics below - it is really cool place with traditional English tea.

And then trecked to the new Noblesville outdoor mall (Hamilton Town Center) and saw an afternoon showing of Mama Mia.

Because we did not get in enough shopping in Noblesville, the next day we drove to Edinburgh to hit up the Outlet Mall!!! Mom found some great deals!

Then we were off to the State Fair for some very healthly meals of fried, fried, and more fried food. This first pic below is mom sunning herself in our backyard before the big trip.

Instead of driving to the State Fair, we decided to do it the ol' fashioned way and take the train!

We saw a lot at the State Fair, but my most favorite was this huge block of cheese that was being carved throughout the week..the whole thing is CHEESE - and this isn't even the completed product!

All in all, mom and I both had a good visit - just wish we lived closer!
