Getting ready for V Day

We have been playing so much with Play Doh and she does such a good job with cookie cutters that I thought we should try the real thing!

Just a Singin' and Dancin'

Grammy's Carousel

While we were in St. Louis over Thanksgiving, we visited the carousel at Faust Park.  This is a very special carousel as it is the exact same one that Grammy rode as a child!  It has been moved since Grammy's childhood, but it's still the very same ride that both have now enjoyed!!

Daddy got the first ride...

 Then it was Grammy'

A pretty / rare good family pic!
Then...it was mommy's turn!!

To the Cows - Again!

It was unseasonably beautiful Saturday this past weekend, so we made a quick unplanned decision to 'see the cows!' again at Fair Oaks Farms.

Watching a live birth...LOVE that face.  We only got to see the very beginning of the birthing process.  It takes quite a while and this little one doesn't really have the patience just yet.

Telling us about the COW that was right in front of us...
New exhibit where you can draw on the cow...
She was so happy to be there that she felt the cow needed a hug!

Watching the cows go around and around the milking carousel...

There's always a yummy treat at the end!  This time it had to be PINK ice cream!

Santa's Helper

Doesn't she look like a Michael Jackson Santa's Helper???

A New Year's Christmas

The 4th and final Christmas was when Grandad and Grandma Mary arrived for New Year's Eve.

There were more presents - and fun things to add to the kitchen.  This egg was a big hit!

We loved the visit and the 'free' babysitting - so Jeff and I could get out.  I enjoyed my first Colts game of the season too!

Our Christmas at Home

We stayed home this year and had a very family Christmas morning with an excited little one.  We talked a lot about Christmas this year - and she kind of got it, but I really can't wait until next year when I think she will be REALLY  REALLY excited for Christmas morning.

This is what she woke up to on Christmas morning when she came down the stairs....

She already loved to pretend cook, so this play kitchen that Grammy found for us was perfect present from Santa.
She began playing immediately - and didn't notice any other presents.

She found the cell phone, which was part of the kitchen - and began to 'take pictures' of us.  I guess I take too many pics with  my cell phone instead of using it as a real phone - ha!
Finally found the PINK presents...
Love the tongue out in this pic!
Then...found more of the presents under the tree.
Reading away with daddy in her new Belle dress up dress from Grammy...

Checking out her new sandwich making goodies that Grammy sent.
Mmmm...bologna!
Ripping into more presents!
More kitchen, more kitchen!
PURPLE present from mommy and daddy...
Love the Drake University shirt that Auntie Pam sent.
Loving her ice cream station from Ga Schro!

Again...she's one lucky and loved girl.  I am so thankful for a great Christmas with our little family!

Here are a few fun pics of our house on Christmas Eve...

These foot print reindeer is what Myra made for us at school.  When we asked her where we should put them, she said, 'on the tree!'  So...on the tree they went!
