Waiting and Watching for Rain

On her second day at home from school, we did a lot of snuggling and watching it rain!  With the drought, rain is quite a spectacle around here.  It was so fascinating to her!

Sick Day

I got the call last Thursday about a feverish little one - and boy she was tired, hot and worn out!

But...some chocolate banana bites helped!

First Date?

I know Jeff enjoyed seeing these pics come through from Michael's mom!  She took them at school and sent them to us....and we think they were on their first date.  I am not sure who was driving!

A Vampirate and a Fairy

When we visted Nebraska a few weeks ago, Jeff started to tell Abram all about vampires.  Abram started to call them 'Vampriates!' - too cute.  Anyway...the story mirrored the  HBO show, True Blood, and so Jeff told Aisley that see and Abram could be a vampirate and a fairy for Halloween.

So...I just had to send them these special gifts after we left - and I got this pic that made me laugh so hard!  They are too sweet!

Grampa bought Myra this cute potty chair, but she only wants to use it as a special seat for viewing Wonder Pets.

This past weekend, Myra and Michael had another play date.  This time, they played, snacked and 'climbed' a tree!

Myra loves to 'help me' make breakfast or dinner, which usually consists of sitting on the counter and eating shredded cheese!

Last weekend, we were off to the splash park again for some fun with her BFF from school, Michael!

They are absolutely adorable together!

Back in St. Louis

On our way home, we made a stop back through St. Louis.  This time...we stopped by to see Grandad and Grandma Mary.

We headed to one of Jeff's childhood parks...Ballwin Park for duck viewing and swing set fun - where she went back and forth and back and forth on this bridge and HAD to give us all a kiss on the way back and forth!

 I can't believe she really climbed this all by herself - with just a bit of holding from Grandad!
