Class Pic for 2011

As stated a few times previously, Myra does NOT like professional photos - and here's another good example.

This is her class picture from when she was in the transition room with her best bud, Michael.

Needless to say, I didn't purchase any of the individual pics of her either. I think they were worse than this one!

First Visit to the Children's Museum

We took our first trip to the Indianapolis Children's Museum a couple of weeks ago.

Here's Myra reading about the areas she wants to visit...

There are only about 2 areas in the museum for little ones - and of those places is Playscapes, where they only allow children 3 and under. Myra was definitely the smallest one there - and it was extremely busy that afternoon.

She explored the water...

Played house...

Picked and planted some flowers...

Then played in the sand, where she took a huge gulp of it! So...that ended the time in the Playscapes area!

We took a stroll around some of the museum and the Barbie exhibit is pretty cool. We will definitely be back when she is older.

Just before we were headed out the door, we came upon an area called the Winter Wonderland. She fared much better in here as it wasn't as busy and is also for small children.

She ice fished...

And just HAD to take one of the fish of the slide.

We ended our trip by grooming a reindeer! Very, very cute!

Oh Teddy!

Myra just LOVES her teddy! She sleeps with him EVERY night and sometimes he eats breakfast with her.

But...the best part of teddy is his butt! It's like a pacifer to her and she sucks his tail / taggie to get her through the hard times!

Loving...

Eating w/ her spoon!

It's almost like she will eat anything - even things we know she doesn't like much - if it's in a bowl and she can eat it with a spoon!

Who knew that...

Mexican restaurants made animal balloons???

We are trying out new Mexican restaurants since our very favorite one (and the one where Myra's first birthday was held) closed recently. We are very very sad, but this one may be a good candidate!

Silly Girl

While coloring on her newer table, she gets a little silly with her chairs. She will move it in and out - and in and out - and in and out of the laundry area!

Then gets in a little stirring action and 'eating' straight from the bowl!

Then...she will decide to put the chair in the living room and just sit for a bit!

Happy Belated Birthday Ga Schro

Ga Schro's birthday was on January 14th, so this is a bit late - but still very cute!

I had grand ideas of Myra holding this sign and I would make a card, but all she wanted to do with the sign is color on it! So...this is best pic we could get.

A Little Florida Sunshine

Jeff was awarded a trip to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for his hard work in 2011, so...it was off to the Sunshine state for a few quick days to catch some rays.

It was a bit cold for the residents (70's), but perfect for us to get out of the Midwest freezing snow and cold to enjoy some relaxing.

Here's the view from our hotel...

There were quite a few restaurants and bars very close to our hotel, so off we went with another couple to have a little fun without having to be responsible for a little one!

A Sealey tradition is to find the closest Diners, Drive-In's or Dive, so we found two on this trip! This one is in Hollywood, FL and we both had really good Philly cheesesteaks. The other one was in Sunrise, FL - called the Whale's Rib - and was equally yummy, but had more of a seafood flare to the menu.

A HUGE thank you to Grandad and Grandma Mary for watching our little lady while we had some time to get away and relax!
