Outtakes from Grammy's Camera

I just couldn't fit some of these in the original Party #2 post, but these can't be missed!

Thanks to Grammy for capturing these very special moments from Myra's birthday weekend!

This is one of her very last bottles...

LOVE this one of the 3 generations!

More super excited tissue paper fun!

Me and my sweet birthday girl...although, she doesn't look too thrilled here. I am pretty sure she was wiggling to go play or climb the stairs!

After the visit to dad's work on her actual birthday, we stopped by her school to show Grammy and Grandma her room. She was busy showing off her walking and playing skills.

Strolling with Fudgy

Strolling along with Jeff's childhood teddy, Fudgy.....

She's realized Fudgy is still in the stroller....

Who put Fudgy in the stroller??? Mymy doesn't like to have any passengers! She always throws them out!

Here! You MUST take this bear! I can't have him in here any longer!

A Visit to Daddy's Work

Since it was way too hot for the zoo on Myra's actual birthday, we took a trip to visit dad at work. She LOVED it - and walked and walked and walked around the cubes and offices. She truly didn't want to leave.

What's cuter than that face??? NOTHING!

I love this picture. She looks so small next to the towering cubes! Who wouldn't hire this sweet little tutu butt?

Myra's First Birthday - Party #3

The location: Lake of the Ozarks, MO - Grandad Jim's and Grandma Mary's lake house.
Attendees: Grandad Jim, Grandma Mary (of course :o) - and Uncle Drew (aka Uncle Hobb) and Aunt Jamie!

Saturday morning started with a little game of catch. I guess we were getting ready for the opening of college football season! Go Huskers!!!

It was Uncle Hobb's birthday too! (Myra tore off her princess crown, but Hobb loved it!)

Myra giving Uncle Hobb his birthday present...

And the present opening began - with LOTS of fun & flying tissue paper - again!

An oh so cute winter hat (from Uncle Hobb and Aunt Jamie) for this oh so adorable 1 year old!

Grandma & Grandad bought her a super cute set of lake flip-flops!

Snoopy!

And blocks...and more fun toys!

I did a much smaller version of birthday cake for Myra. It was a chocolate fudge cookie with cream cheese frosting!

We also got to celebrate Grandma Mary's birthday!

Yes - there are a LOT of birthdays and our anniversary in September. Jeff and I celebrated 15 years this year!

Fun with Aunt Jamie!

On our morning and sometimes afternoon walks, we taught Myra to point at the boats. And...I think she said 'boat' one time! She would also look out their window and point - too sweet! If you can't tell, she's big on pointing these days...

Thanks for a very short, but good trip! And...a special thanks to Grandma Mary and Grandad for the babysitting while we hit the winery to further celebrate Hobb's birthday!

Myra Marie's First Birthday - Party #2

The guests of honor: Grammy and Grandma (aka Ga Schro)
The theme: Lavendar and Yellow with M&M's (since her initials are MMS)
The cake: Double chocolate with cream cheese frosting - Jeff's choice :o)
Birthday dinner: Mexican - Cancun, of course - for fresh guacamole!

She's happy to be one!

The present opening - again, she LOVED pulling out every piece of tissue paper and every piece of adorable clothing from Grammy and Grandma.

Grogan thoroughly enjoyed the present opening as well!

The Mexican birthday dinner complete with yummy guacamole and a fancy fried tortilla topped with whipped cream, chocolate syrup and cherry!

Snuck in a Grandma kiss!

This girl is wild about her Mexican!

The cake!

I think she may be thanking me here for creating this masterpiece :o)

The touch test...

And with a little help from dad, she dug right in - gnawing on her hand!

And enjoyed every bit of it!

Cake was followed by a little ice cream with Grammy!

The party favors were personalized lavendar and yellow M&M's. Yes - that's Myra's face on that M&M!

The decorations were a 'Happy Birthday Myra Marie' and head shots of every month since birth garlands!

She enjoyed looking at the pretty girl in the pictures!

Grogan admired it too.

Ending the weekend was a dinner out with Auntie Beez and Dave, where she got this super cute learning purse. She LOVES to quickly empty the purse of all its goodies - and sometimes will place them back inside.

It comes complete with money and lipstick- pretty perfect!

Thank you to Grammy and Grandma for traveling to celebrate with us! And..a big thank you to the Schroeder's for being there in spirit!
